Brief history
Mazeras Girls memorial started as Bombolulu Girls upto 1998 when the school experienced a fire tragedy where 26 girls perished. The school was closed and reopened two years later and renamed Mazeras Girls Memorial Secondary School.
The new Mazeras Girls Memorial Sec. School
The school started as one streamed day/boarding school. Currently the school is six streamed with a student population of 1200. It is a public Extra – County full boarding girls school. The school is sponsored by the Methodist Church of Kenya.
STAFF
The school has 33 teachers employed by the Teachers Service Commission and 12 teachers employed by the Board Of Management. The school has 30 members of the support staff.
SECURITY.
The school is secured with a perimeter wall and this ensures that the girls are well secured. The school has employed enough security personnel who are on duty at all times. The school has also installed CCTV cameras in all strategic areas.
